概要	Chronic stress is a risk factor for osteoporosis. Chewing inhibits the stress-induced response. We hypothesized that chewing could ameliorate bone loss induced by chronic stress. To test this hypothesis, we examined the effect of chewing on chronic stress-induced bone loss and bone microstructural deterioration in mice. The present findings indicate that chewing can ameliorate chronic stress-induced bone loss in C57/B6 mice. Chewing may represent a useful method for preventing and/or treating chronic stress-related osteoporosis.
