概要	Both periodontitis and peri-implantitis are known to be caused by bacterial infections, but there are some differences in treatment methods due to differences in the surrounding tissues. Since the surface structure of the implant body is different from that of root surface, healing with gingival recession, as in periodontitis, involves the risk of reinfection in the peri-implant tissue. The importance of the surrounding non-mobile keratinized mucosa is higher than that of periodontal tissues due to the vulnerability of the defense mechanisms against periodontopathic bacterial infection. I would like to discuss the differences in treatment goals from a case study.
