概要	In our previous reports , a 48-h two-bottle choice test and a 10-s lick test in ODS rats lacking the ability to synthesize ascorbic acid (AsA) showed that the preference and lick ratios for acids including AsA increase during AsA deficiency.Our results suggest that ODS rats showed salty taste preferences for AsANa similar to those of NaCl at the same concentration, but post-ingestive effect may inhibit long-term AsANa ingestion. It was also suggested that taste sensitivity to high concentrations of NaCl may be reduced under the AsA-deficient condition.
