| 概要 | Background: ODS rats lacking ascorbic acid (AsA) synthesis show increased preference and lick responses to AsA and acids.
Objective: We examined responses to sodium ascorbate (AsA-Na) and NaCl under AsA-sufficient and -deficient conditions using two-bottle and lick tests. Results: Lick ratios did not differ between AsA-Na and NaCl. At 100 mM, NaCl preference exceeded 80%, whereas AsA-Na remained below 20% (p < 0.01). At 10 mM, AsA-Na preference increased under deficiency and exceeded NaCl (p < 0.05). Lick ratios were generally higher under deficiency, especially at high concentrations. Conclusion: AsA-Na elicits salt-like taste responses, but long-term behavior shows concentration-dependent differences. Post-ingestive effects and AsA status may modulate these responses. |
