概要	AI techniques for automatically detecting teeth in panoramic radiography is a breakthrough in dental practice. This technique is useful not only for diagnosing a patient’s dental disease and dental treatment status but also for automatically obtaining complete information of the patient’s dentition. In addition to detect teeth, we propose a method to detect tooth axis lines in the panoramic X-ray images. One of the usefulness of tooth axis lines is for the preliminary evaluation of the alveolar bone level of the maxillo-mandibular dentition. Another usefulness is for the preliminary evaluation of the malocclusion by means of the inclination of tooth axis.
