概要	Oral surgery involves the upper respiratory tract as a surgical site. Therefore it is necessary to prevent airway obstruction following surgery.We conduct present study to evaluate the outcomes of preventive airway management with the minitracheostomy. No particularly notable complications were observed during minitracheostomy. No airway obstruction was observed. We considered that minitracheostomy could be performed safely and smoothly without significant complications. A prior training with the same kit and an expert instructor contributed to the results. We conclude that a airway management strategy using a minitracheostomy is useful option to prevent an airway obstruction after oral cancer surgery.
