概要	Recent studies have revealed that adolescent girls and young women are more likely to have riboflavin, vitamin B2, deficiency or low riboflavin status in developed countries than previously recognized. In previous clinical research, Ikui et al (2000) showed that riboflavin is useful for treatment of taste disorder patients with low blood riboflavin levels. However, the effects on preference and peripheral taste organs in riboflavin deficiency are not well understood. Therefore, in the present study, behavioral, anatomical, and molecular biological experiments were conducted in rats to investigate the effects on the ingestive behavior and peripheral taste system during riboflavin deficiency.
